Rebecca Holland has been painting oil on canvas landscapes for nearly 50 years. Her passion has been driven by the natural beauty she sees in the fog and the light on the redwood forest, the ocean, and the farmlands of rural California where she lives and works. Her impeccable detail and technique are self-taught skills, honed from years of observing. As a child, Rebecca was inspired by the techniques of the classic European painters and their use of detail, but especially of light–light emerging from darkness. These early inspirations have matured into the landscapes filled with light for which she is known.
