GUIDE TO THE GALLERIES

Original oil paintings on canvas or linen

The current selection of available paintings can be seen by visiting our gallery at Lobitos Creek Ranch in Half Moon Bay. Call for an appointment. I will be happy to talk to you and give you more information about the pieces shown on any of the gallery pages.

Many people have in their collection a commissioned piece of original art that is conceived in collaboration between the collector’s dream painting and the artist’s experience.

Giclée prints on canvas or rag paper

I have chosen as my printer, The Blow Up Lab in San Francisco (www.blowuplab.com) because I have found their results to be superior. They are always willing to work with me to achieve a reproduction that is true to the original art from which they are made. Some images are available only on canvas some only on paper, some on a choice of either canvas or paper. A few are available in sizes slightly smaller than the listed size. What is a Giclée?

A giclée is a truly archival fine-art print.. (read more)

Horses

My lifelong love of horses finally gets a page all its own. Here you will find commissions of paintings of special horses, information about clinics and demos by Leslie Desmond and other information such as links to sites of interest in the horse world.

Offset litho prints on paper

This printing method became very popular in galleries in the 70’s. At the time, it was an affordable choice allowing many people to own a favorite image. Although replaced by the relatively new and truly archival giclée printing process, these prints are owned far and wide, and have added to the value of the original oil that the most popular prints were made from.

Posters and Calendar (Click here for special offers)

Two posters have been printed commemorating the Kings Mountain Art Fair.

The Rebecca Holland California Landscapes 2010 Calendar features images and information about giclées in print as of the 2009 Labor Day Kings Mountain Art Fair.

The Rebecca Holland 2011 calendar features The Redwoods of California.

Archive Gallery

This is a selection of paintings in private collections that have not yet been produced as giclée prints. Many paintings were sold before this method became available. If you are interested in any of these images, the owner may be able to cooperate in having their original sent to the printer for scanning, making a limited-edition available. Any original put into print increases the value of the original.
